  • Coming from the Cumberland Cap (where TN/VA/KY meet), take US58 East to Jonesville, Virginia (about 45 minutes from the Cumberland Gap).

  • At Jonesville, go straight ahead and you will be on US 58 ALTERNATE East (US 58 Alt East) at the second red light in Jonesville.

  • Stay on US 58 Alt East until you cross into Wise County and enter the town of Big Stone Gap, Virginia  (about 45 minutes drive from Jonesville, depending upon construction delays).

  • Upon entering Big Stone Gap, go straight ahead (US 58 Alt East is also a town street named Wood

Avenue).  At the 2nd Big Stone Gap red light (Wood Avenue / US 58 Alt) intersects with US 23),

continue straight ahead on Wood Avenue, which now becomes Wood Avenue and State Route 610.

  • Continue to follow this road (SR 610).  Although the street names will change several times, continue to follow what is the main road.  You will come to a spot where you have to turn right or left.  Turn LEFT and cross the railroad tracks.  There is an Citgo Market (convenience store with Deli and Gas) on the left.  Turn LEFT down the street immediately beside the Citgo store.  This is 3rd Avenue.

MEOC is about 0.1 mile straight ahead.  MEOC is the large gray building just past Gap Lumber.  Our name is on the sign out front.  You may park in the front parking lot.  Enter the front door in the center

of the building and you will be at the reception desk.

(If you would like to know the actual street names SR610 bears at the various points in the above paragraph, they are as follows:   In actuality, as you go straight ahead at the second Big Stone Gap red light, you stay on Wood Avenue until the 1st Avenue intersection.  Bear right on 1st Ave.  At the Shawnee Ave. intersection, go straight onto Shawnee.  Stay on Shawnee until you must turn left onto 19th street. Where you will see the railroad tracks.  Cross the tracks and turn left onto 3rd Avenue just past the Citgo convenience store.)
