Getting a Ride with MEOC Transit

YOUR TRIP BEGINS HERE:

Give us a call at 276-523-RIDE or toll-free 1-888-877-6748 at least 24 hours and up to 30 days before you need a ride.

The dispatcher will ask your name and location, and if a first-time rider, your: address, phone, birthday, gender, race, disability (if any), special medical conditions, the name of an emergency contact person, and directions to your residence. If you use a wheelchair, please tell the dispatcher if your wheelchair is manual or electric, or if it is oversized.

SPECIAL HOURS AND RATES:

Weekdays 7 AM to 5 PM (excluding holidays). A minimum of 24 hours advance notice is required for ALL trips; more notice is preferred.

FARES (PER VEHICLE BOARDING):

Age 60 and above, Age 18 and under $0.75

Adults $1.50

Our public transit service is a “curb-to-curb” service. There are no “fixed” routes or dedicated “bus stops” where you can catch the bus. To arrange the trip, you must call MEOC Transit and provide certain information to the dispatcher. Without this information, your trip request cannot be processed.
