VICAP
Virginia Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program
Are you confused
about what type of insurance you need, or whether you have enough insurance
coverage? Are you having problems making sense of your medical bills?
We can help you with these problems and concerns.
Individual insurance counseling assistance is
available through MEOC's Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program
(VICAP). Trained VICAP counselors in our community can provide
confidential assistance to individuals in their area free of charge.
Information
is provided by certified volunteer counselors to groups and individuals to
better understand Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Long Term Care
Insurance, Medicaid, health care options, patients’ right, and the new
Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. Counselors assist in filing claims. Includes
finance, tax and consumer counseling.
