MOUNTAIN EMPIRE PACE WILL TELL YOU IN ADVANCE IF YOU NEED TO PAY A PREMIUM ...
PACE
is financed through capitation.
The program receives a set amount each month for each
participant. These payments are made at the first
of each month. MEOC assumes full financial risk
for the cost of care provided to each participant.
Most people who enroll in PACE have both Medicare and
Medicaid. If you have BOTH Medicaid and Medicare,
you can participate in PACE without paying deductibles or co-payments, but you
may need to pay a set premium each month to stay eligible for Medicaid.
Mountain Empire PACE will tell y
ou in advance if you need to pay a premium.
If you have Medicaid, but
NOT Medicare, you can participate in PACE without paying deductibles or
co-payments, but you may need to pay a set amount each month to stay eligible
for Medicaid. Mountain Empire PACE will tell you in advance if you need to
pay a premium.
If you have Medicare ONLY,
you must pay a monthly premium to participate in PACE.
If you have NEITHER
Medicaid nor Medicare, you must pay our full monthly premium.

The PACE Center is located at 1508
Third Avenue East, Big Stone Gap, VA. Hours of
operation are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.
Medical coverage is available twenty four hours a day
seven days a week.
